Rebecca's Cosplay Page

Welcome to my cosplay page. While I've been wearing costumes for as long as I can remember, though I wasn't introduced to the term Cosplay until I got into anime fandom. In all honesty I love any excuse to get dressed up.

I totally dove into cosplay soon after my first anime convention, Otakon in 1998. My first real costume was Miaka from Fushigi Yuugi for Otakon 1999 and a bunch of us from PJAC (Pittsburgh Japanese Animation Club) did a skit called "Fushigi Yuugi: the Short SHORT Version."

I'm amazed at the number of costumes I have now. I have so many, that my costumes require a closet of their own. Most of these costumes have been worn at the numerous anime conventions I have attended over the years. A few were for Halloween or other special occasions.

****To the Costumes****

This is a horribly old webcam pic of me wearing my favorite anime shirt. An airbrushed picture of Van in the rain.

You know you cosplay too much when...

  • You wear more than one costume per day at a con.
  • You always have safety pins with you
  • You are willing to wear your costumes in public (not at a con)
