Ok, here's what I've got in terms of a working script. Very rough still, and I'm still wondering if we can work in Lina starting to throw a fireball. I'm also thinking about nixing Zelgadis from this, since it's going to be a tad difficult to have Zel without bringing in Amelia and Syphele, plus Milly to balance out things somewhat. There's even some preliminary attempts at casting, but this is purely speculative since I haven't spoken with anyone about it yet. ====================================================================== Kane Blueriver meets Lina Inverse Cast Kane: Jythe? Kanal: Rebecca? Lina: Carolyn? Gourry: ? Zelgadis: Colin? (Kane and Kanal enter stage left, both looking thoroughly confused.) Kane: Kanal, you're SURE this is the right planet? Rail didn't say anything about it not having a spaceport. Kanal: Of course it's the right one. Have I ever missed a hyper jump? (Lina and company enter stage right, apparently having just left an Inn since she's rubbing her belly. Kane spots them, and appears to be pleasantly suprised and even more confused at the same time. Kane then approaches Lina.) Lina: Ahh, now THAT hit the spot. Zelgadis: Do you two always eat that much? Kane: Grandma? Grandpa? What are you two doing here? (Lina immediately slugs kane in the stomach.) Lina: GRANDMA?! WHO DO YOU THINK I AM? (Gourry looks back and forth between Kane and Lina, confused.) Gourry: Huh? You're really are that old? (Lina turns and bonks Gourry over the head) Lina: Shut up Gourry! Kanal: Kane? Nila? What's gotten into you two? Zelgadis: Lina, calm down. I think he's confused you for someone else. (Kane looks at Zel as if he's nuts.) Kane: I'd know my own grandmother anywhere. You think I'd forget the relative I inherited Sword Breaker from? (Lina growls and starts fuming.) Lina (Aside): Does this joker really know how old I am? And what's this Sword Breaker anyway? Some kind of enchanted treasure made by an uncreative sorcerer? Lina: Sword Breaker? What's that? Kane: You don't remember? Lina: Uh no. I can't remember anything that happened before I woke up in a priest's hut with a bump on my head. Kanal: Kane, she's got amnesia! Zelgadis: Huh? Gourry (quietly to Lina): When did that happen? Lina (quierly to Gourry): Just be quiet and play along. Kane: Then I guess I'll have to try and get it back for you. (Kane looks all around for a sec, then turns to Kanal.) Kane: Kanal, where exactly did you set us down at again? Kanal: (giggling) This way! (all exit off to stage left.
